ACE Radio Broadcasters is currently recruiting for a Radio Journalist at 3NE and Edge FM in Wangaratta. You would be reading Breakfast News to our listeners across North Eastern Victoria and Southern NSW.
Just 2 and a half hours from Melbourne, Wangaratta is surrounded by the famed vineyards of the King Valley, exquisite produce of the Milawa Gourmet region and the historic bushranger past of Ned Kelly’s last stand in Glenrowan.
Our next Wangaratta journalist will be a person who wants to embrace a regional lifestyle and grow their career, alongside a team of dedicated and passionate audio creators.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience as a journalist and/or relevant qualifications.
- Excellent on-air presentation skills.
- A passion for discovering and reporting compelling and interesting news stories.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- An understanding of media law and ethics as well as ACMA requirements.
- Strong computer skills – Newsboss, Omni, digital platforms.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
