About the role and you

The Role:

  • Overseeing and maintaining broadcast equipment and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during live productions.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new technologies.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Collaborating with the Contents and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

  • The successful candidate will ideally have a media background working with radio broadcast teams to ensure all radio faults are minimised and responded to.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will:

  • Play a key part of the Technical Services Team responsible for radio broadcast monitoring;
  • Ensure any issues fixed as per the above are reported accurately in the Radio Fault Log ticketing system;
  • Strive for continuous improvement – have the mindset of “we can always do better” and be unafraid of suggesting changes to procedures or systems if you feel things can be done differently;
  • Perform spot checks of SEN radio and app services in terms of sound quality and radio crafting and provide advice back to the Content Team on suggested alterations.
  • Communicate faults and maintenance updates across the Executive Team and all radio broadcast-related teams in line with the communication plan;
  • Help drive the various Radio Broadcast teams to ensure they are responding and minimizing radio faults;
  • Work closely with stakeholders from the Inventory, Radio Content and Engineering IT teams to ensure they are minimizing off-air faults;
  • Assist with training and the updates of policies and procedures where required, suggesting proactive improvements and changes;
  • Train across the Radio Broadcast Division;
