Located in Southport on the Gold Coast, we are looking for on-air board operators to work shifts during the week (Monday to Friday) – or on Weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Excellent studio facilities, small team, international news talk programs, opportunity to learn and progress
Attractive rates will be offered to suitable candidates who will be able to show initiative and be able to work unsupervised in a small studio environment.
Tasks:
- Operate the broadcast console
- Read and follow format logs, play the correct spots and station IDs at the appropriate times
- Operate faders, monitor audio levels, and segue music – ensuring the programming is tight.
- Connect Program Host and guests prior to live broadcasts
- Communicate effectively with program directors
- Answer listeners’ phone calls and screen listener calls for live shows.
Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Additional training will be provided.
You must be comfortable with broadcast schedules and computer applications (MAC and PC).
You will also enjoy interacting with hosts and their guests.
Have attention to detail and be able to multi-task effectively.
