Dzelde duo says goodbye to 5MU and Power FM

Chris Dzelde and Mel Dzelde have resigned from Grant Broadcasters stations 5MU and Power FM in South Australia.
 
The husband and wife duo announced the news on social media on Tuesday 15 September after spending four months on leave in order for Mel to fight stage 4 rectal cancer.
 

Mick Raisin calls it a day on a 40 year career

Mick Raisin has decided to retire from radio and at 68 years of age is transitioning into retirement, effective November 20th.
 
Mick finishes his radio career at 7HOFM after 4 decades in the media, beginning when Ron Camplin at 2BS Bathurst gave him his first break as a copywriter in 1980, and he says it was a position “… for which I am eternally grateful. Ron and Janet Cameron have been 2 Broadcasters who I greatly admire!”

TRSN to represent 102.9 Hot Tomato in the Brisbane market

102.9 Hot Tomato on the Gold Coast has confirmed that all national adverting sales for the Brisbane market will now be handled by The Radio Sales Network (TRSN) from September 2020 onwards.
 
Hot Tomato was purchased by Grant Broadcasters in December 2018 and TRSN is the National sales division of Grant Broadcasters which currently handles the advertising sales for Hot Tomato in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
 

Bianca Shugg to oversee digital at Grant

Grant Broadcasters it to undergo some changes to its digital assets with Bianca Shugg appointed as the new group general manager for digital.
 
This is part of a restructure that will see four different areas, that comprise of Group Online Content, Digital Production – Sparx, Network Websites & Development, and Digital AdOps, now report directly to Shugg.
 

AFTRS students launch 2NRS on iHeartRadio

AFTRS Graduate Diploma Radio students today launched 2NRS on iHeart Radio, a commercial pop-up radio station broadcasting the hottest hits from today with a rewind to favourite tracks of the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.
 
2NRS celebrates First Nation, Australian and international artists and will be live from 7am – 6pm daily for the next two weeks, the broadcast can be heard via the website and the iHeart Radio app.
