The dynamic duo of radio celbrate 10 years sind they were first manacled together.

Amanda Keller's cardiac scare

Tuesday 18 November, 2014

Amanda Keller spent the night in hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest type symptoms at the premiere of Unbroken last night.

Despite a rough night’s sleep, she was up to doing live crosses from her hospital bed this morning as a part Jonesy’s impromptu hourly “Mounce Watch” segment.

She told her Jonesy and her listeners that she was fine and doctors were just running final tests.

“I’ve done some work with the Victor Chang foundation and I know that symptoms for heart attacks for women aren’t like they are for men”

Amanda Keller cries tears of joy on Jonesy & Amanda

Friday 07 November, 2014
If you think after the highs of being named number one FM breakfast show in Sydney three times this year and their recent win at the ACRAs, things can’t get much better for WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda this year… think again.

Amanda Keller cried tears of joy as her teenage (and adult) crush Barry Manilow sang a few bars of  “Mandy” to her and she fulfilled her lifelong  dream of interviewing the legendary singer-songwriter.

There's pure gold in them there bands

It was a sellout event at Sydney's venerable Hordern Pavilion on Saturday for the Pure Gold Live concert put on by WSFM.

New job for Jonesy?

Wednesday 22 October, 2014
Has the magic from Jonesy & Amanda’s Best On Air Team ACRA worn off already?
Channel 7 Sydney newsreader Mark Ferguson’s stint as WSFM’s breakfast newsreader comes to an end this Thursday… and he certainly made an impression on the WSFM team.
It seems the relief newsreader gave Jonesy a case of the green eyed monster, so the two challenged each other with a ‘job swap’.
Jonesy had to record a news bulletin at Channel 7, while the WSFM team filmed a day in the life of Mark 'the radio star.'

Jonesy and Amanda renew with ARN for 3 more years

Tuesday 14 October, 2014

Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller have renewed their contracts with WSFM breakfast for three more years.

Currently in their ninth year on air together, 2014 has been a good year for Jonesy & Amanda, scoring top spot in the FM breakfast rankings for four out of the six surveys.

WSFM's overall ratings also continues to climb after a successful rebrand as part of the new Pure Gold Network.

WINNER... Winner... winner... woo hoo?

Thursday 21 August, 2014
When a listener wins a decent amount of money on a radio competition, they're supposed to scream, shout and woo hoo, right. Right? RIGHT!!!!

Not this one.

After a winner gets a good prize the first thing stations do is put together a promo filled with shrieks of delight.
At WSFM yesterday, a listener won $5000 as part of “Jonesy and Amanda’s Favourite Five” competition, but the breakfast duo seem to have came across perhaps the most underwhelmed winner of a cash competition in the history of radio.

WSFM Announcer learns of mother's murder from TV News

Monday 14 July, 2014

Comment from Peter Saxon

Soon after Survey 4 was released last Tuesday, WSFM PD Charlie Fox walked into the on-air studio to tell Jason Staveley the good news. Jason was filling in on the Breakfast show for Jonesy and Amanda while they were on holidays. They’d shot to outright number one "FM" with an 11.5 share, 2.5 ahead of now-stable mates Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS.

Vale Doc Neeson: now with the other Angels

Wednesday 04 June, 2014
Legendary Aussie singer Doc Neeson has died of a brain tumour at the age of 67.

Neeson fronted one of the great 'pub rock' bands of the 1970s, The Angels, and was part of an era of music that coincided with the birth of rock-heavy Australian FM radio stations such as Triple M.

The Love God's Back

Tuesday 13 May, 2014

Richard Mercer switches to WS FM with a new show
To his many loyal fans, The Love God’s move to another station after presenting Love Song Dedications on Sydney’s Mix 106.5 for 17 years is bigger news than Kyle and Jackie O’s defection from 2Day FM last year. Except this time it’s friendly.

When Mix rebranded to become KIIS and changed the focus of its content to reflect the needs of Kyle and Jack’s followers that meant that Richard Mercer’s show no longer a good fit for the frequency.
