107.3FM gets to the Heart of Hobart

They’re a generous lot in the capital of the Apple Isle, raising a record amount for The Royal Hobart Hospital in Heart 107.3’s Give Me 5 for Kids Appeal. After posting a healthy 195,000 in 2012, this year they bagged a whopping $255,077.

Heart 107.3’s Dave Noonan and Kim Napier were both in the dark about the final amount when they handed over the cheque at the cheque handing over ceremony at the hospital saying, “We are so overwhelmed with the generosity of Tasmania especially after the horrific bushfires that affected so many this year. We are both over the moon today and are so proud of this state and the way it always bands together, an amazing day.”

Even SCA Content Head Craig Bruce was moved to comment, Outstanding effort guys,” in an email he sent to just about everyone in his address book.

In 11 years over 1 million dollars has gone to the Children’s Ward at the Royal Hobart Hospital and all of this is down to the incredible Heart of Southern Tasmania.
