It’s not often that sister stations promote themselves as a joint item to listeners. But 1116 4BC and 882 4BH have joined forces with The Leukaemia foundation to promote Shave for a Cure day.

The stations had a mobile hair salon set up out the front of the studio and called for listeners to come and get their head shaved or coloured with professionals from a local advertiser, Rouge Hair Salon.

Many of the Fairfax stations’ staff also volunteered for this great cause. The free BBQ breakfast that was laid on for everyone didn’t hurt the levels of enthusiasm either.
