2008: Year in Review part 2

This is the second part of radioinfo’s year in review, listing all the stories we have covered in 2008. New presenters and revamped lineups are some of the highlights of the year, along with the struggles of regional stations with drought then rain, and the constant ups and downs of the ratings.

In 2008, the radio industry also lost some notable personalities, both on and off air, old and young. The departed and fondly remembered include: Jim Angel, Red Harrison, John Cargher, Keith Ashton, Andrew Harwood, Graeme Story, Steve Andrews, Bob Taylor, Michael Pate, Kevin Heinze, Ray Webb, Barry Augustus, Gary Perkin and Calvin DeGrey.

If you would like to comment on the old year, or offer predictions for 2009, please contribute to this week’s Forum comments by clicking here.
