20K in the K’s for Kids

Lisa Paul and Baz’s ‘K’s for Kids’ on Perth’s 92.9 raised twenty thousand dollars this morning, bringing the grand total on Day 3 to $46,435.00.

The team left the station on their push bikes and rode 33km, ending up at the Bell Tower where they met Perthonalities (including Channel 7’s Angela Tsun, Jemma from House Rules, the West Coast Fever girls, Paul Medhurst, Rob from Woolworths and Tim Guest from Infinite Wealth) who subbed in to ride through the day.

For every $100 raised, they rode another 10km around the Swan River.

In 2012, 92.9’s Kids Appeal with Telethon raised two hundred and thirty three thousand dollars, and the goal in 2013 is to beat that.

Over the four years of Kids Appeal over half a million dollars has been raised for the kids of WA. The addition of Woolworths on board this year is helping PMH’s wish list become a reality. A cheque of $15,000 was donated this morning from the fundraising in their stores.

On Day 3, 11 pieces of vital equipment have been purchased for PMH. Lisa Paul and Baz will launch the next item on tomorrow morning’s show.
