Newcastle’s 2HD recently held a 12 hour radio-thon for the Hunter Prostate Cancer Alliance (HPCA) to raise much needed funds and to also raise awareness of this dreaded disease. 

All station staff donated their time to work the phones, cook the BBQ and generally help out.

Newcastle Knights as well as the A League Jets players turned up along with the mayors of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle plus countless politicians (except Jodi Mckay who pulled out at the last minute).

The day was a huge success with just on $106,000.00 raised.
