2LT Lithgow has cut back the John Laws Show to one hour in favour of local content between 10am and noon.

General Manager Jo Neil has told radioinfo the decision to introduce the new 2 hour morning magazine program was made in consultation with listeners and local businesses.

Program Director Joel Helmes, who will host the show, is excited about building a new program for the local community.

“It’s a new concept but one I believe both the station and the community are ready for.

“Basically its about 70/30 talk over music. We will have interviews and regular contributors in areas such as entertainment and sport. There will be a daily quiz and talkback, probably about 5 – 10 minutes per hour.”

The new show begins on the 23rd of January.
