2TM and 92.9’s Jon Wolfe receives Golden Award for Country Music support

2TM and Tamworth’s 92.9FM‘s radio presenter and journalist Jon Wolfe was honoured at the Golden Fiddle Awards with the 2025 Community Service Award during the Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival for his commitment and support of Australian country music and artists over many decades.

The award recognises his support of the legion of fiddle players across genres such as folk, bluegrass and country, as well as the vocalists, songwriters and other musicians.

Jon was honoured and humbled to receive the award, saying:

“The fiddle is so important to the music and we have so many great fiddlers here in Australia and so many have their own individual styles. The sound of the fiddle is just so fundamental to country and folk music.”

Alongside his role with 2TM and 92.9FM John is also the Vice Chair of the Country Music Association of Australia.

He has also been awarded the 2024 ICMA Grant Goldman Memorial Award, which was named in honour of the former 2TM and Super Radio Network announcer, for his outstanding contribution to Australian Country Music.
