2TM back to broadcast the 53rd annual Tamworth Country Music Festival

2TM began The Tamworth Country Music Festival in 1973 and are back again for its 53rd edition starting January 17 for the event celebrating local music talent and attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the region.

The 2TM broadcast team of Sharnae Birkett, Dan Saunders and Jon Wolfe (pictured) will host live on-air interviews and musical performances from many of the 160 plus artists attending in the 2TM studios over the ten days of the festival.

Saturday January 25th is the 2TM Discovered finalist concert at the JB Hi-Fi stage at Centrepoint Tamworth.  Hosted by Sharnae, the five finalists Alice Benfer, Cody Walker, Lily-Grace Grant, Darren Gillis and Coral Renee will perform two songs each before their adueince and 2TM Discovered judges Taylor Moss, Jimbo Stokes and Zac & George.

The Festival wraps up with the CMAA Toyota Golden Guitar awards, the biggest night of the year for the Australian country music industry. Sharnae, Dan and Jon will be on the red carpet, and backstage, broadcasting live artist interviews with all the winners.

Throughout, the 2TM Street Team will be out and about, emceeing multiple shows including Toyota Fanzone in the main street, the CMAA Senior Academy Concert, The Riverside Camp Grounds, The Pub’s Charity Concert for Ronald McDonald House, The Remembering Reg Lindsay Concert, The Melissa Bajric Concert, Moonshiners and more!
