3AW Content Director wins Young Leader award

One of 3AW’s rising stars Nicole Denton has won the Young Leader award in the Fairfax Women of Influence Awards.

Denton, the Content Director of 3AW, has risen to the challenge of promoting change and improvement to an already high-performing area of the business. The young achiever has shown huge ability to influence people beyond her direct spheres of reports and managers.

She has also proved that one is never too young to sponsor others and support their rising careers. When she was 26, our winner became the first female senior producer of the 3AW Breakfast program – one of the most successful radio programs in the country.

Denton has been responsible for not only working with presenters Ross Stevenson and John Burns in delivering a continually entertaining, informative and innovative show, but for managing and mentoring two junior producers to do well in their own careers. By the age of 30, she was appointed as the new Content Director for 3AW Melbourne.

During her transition from senior producer to content director, Denton’s knowledge and skills were shared to help shape change at sister station 2UE.
