“You’re not in a radio studio… you’re sitting at the retirement home talking into your salt and pepper shakers again.” Blakey joined Adelaide’s Triple M breakfast show this morning and on day one let rip at his old station. In a 5AA Retirement Home comedy sketch, a nurse tells the feeble old talk radio broadcasters they are no longer on the air, but they won’t believe her.

Jon Blake joined Ali Carle, Dale Lewis and Warren Tredrea this morning, becoming the 4th member of Triple M’s Hot Breakfast team, after his non-compete clause from his previous DMG contract expired.
On the show Blakey also paid out newsreader Monique Crichton and had a go at the 5AA program director who would not allow crude words on air. “Call the PD over there and tell him I said prick, dickwad and douchebag, you can’t say them over there, they think the audience can’t handle it.”
He also made comments about Mix 102.3’s Breakfast announcer Jason “Snowy” Carter, who is considering legal action action over another skit aired this morning.
Blakey seems set to liven up the airwaves of Adelaide now that he is on air at Triple M.
