John Cahill has announced that he won’t be renewing his contract to call Football next year on Triple M.

Citing increasing time demands on his successful business, John Cahill Motors he said: “It wasn’t an easy decision. It never is for any football person involved in any area of the game. In the end though I realised I had to concentrate my time and energies on my business interests which have increasingly placed more demands on me over the last twelve months.”

John Cahill is an Australian Rules football icon with a successful playing and coaching career that was followed by a career in the media.

Noelene Buddle, Adelaide Triple M’s General Manager summed up the station’s affection and respect for John Cahill saying: “Working with John it’s easy to understand how he’s positively changed so many footballers lives during his playing and coaching days. His professionalism and inspiration will be sorely missed at the station. On behalf of Triple M we sincerely thank John for his priceless contribution to the Triple M Football team where he’s been a key member for the last ten years.”
