New 92.9 FM Tamworth breakfast duo Rebs and LJ are getting their country on for the 2014 Toyota Country Music Festival, being held in Tamworth from Friday January 17.

Both first timers to the festival, Rebs and LJ have been practising their boot scooting and line dancing. No stranger to the country music scene, LJ has been educating Rebs in the world of Australian Country Music.

CRA CEO Joan Warner is set to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Country Music Festival radio seminar. Warner will lead a panel of industry hard hitters including superstar Lee Kernaghan.

At a time when country music is growing in profile, particularly amongst a younger demographic, radio programmers, the country music industry and country artists are coming together to explore how rising country artists can secure radio airplay which is critical to a successful music career.

The festival will include 800 performers and 4,000 shows across 120 different venues. There are over 600 buskers Tamworth’s main street, Peel Street, providing a diverse range of entertainment each day. Over 55,000 visitors are expected to attend this year.
