94.1FM Gold Coast turned 10 earlier this year on 1st April 2023. More than 40 board, staff and volunteers of the station decided to celebrate the anniversary and Christmas together recently at the Northcliffe Surf Lifesaving Club.
Surveys by CBAA and McNair show the station has over 100K weekly listeners and growing.
CEO Gary Field said he’s extremely proud of the whole team who’s radio experience and hard work has truly brought together the Gold Coast community and that now is the time for Community Stations to truly offer alternative “local” services.
The new year will see a number of new shows and personalities such as Craig Bennett & Tania Zaetta.
The 10 Year Birthday Cake was cut by the 10 Year Club original presenters, Gary Boughen, Niven Walton, John Kerr and Gary Field.
94.1 FM has been on TCBL all these years. It only takes another group to want have a TCBL and this all comes apart. Don't get me wrong, everyone has done great work! But the truth isn't always pretty either! Merry Xmas
