In the weeks leading up to Sharnelle Vella‘s maternity leave from ABC Melbourne Breakfast radio, an impromptu baby shower came together, for Sharnelle, and for Our Village, a charity that provides services and essentials for new mums and bubs. The community donated more than $30,000.
Richelle Hunt is filling in for Sharnelle for most of the rest of this year, but the best news of all is that baby Eve Christina Koutrigaros arrived safely on March 20, less than two weeks later.
Congrats to the new mum and dad and wishing them joy (and sleep!) in the days ahead.
