ABA Wagga Auction

The Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) will conduct an auction today for a transmitter licence to provide a high powered open narrowcasting service in Wagga Wagga in southern NSW.

The auction will be held at 2pm at the ABA’s Sydney office – Level 15, Tower One, Darling Park, 201 Sussex Street. Registered applicants must check in from 1.30-1.50pm.

Two applications have been received for the Wagga Wagga licence: one from 2KY Broadcasters Pty Ltd; the other is from Marion Brown of Rig Radio.

Members of the public can attend the auction, but only the two registered applicants will be allowed to bid for the licence.

There is a reserve price of $4000.

The ABA also received single applications for nine open narrowcasting licences. These will be issued on payment of the reserve price of $4000. A list of these licences is available by clicking on the link below.
