The ABC Gardeners Market returns

Proudly supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

The ABC Gardeners’ Market is returning to the ABC Collinswood studio car park this Saturday 12 October in South Australia.

Join thousands of market goers as 891 ABC Adelaide’s Weekend presenter Ashley Walsh broadcasts Talkback Gardening live with gardening guru Jon Lamb from 8.30am, followed by popular on-air segments About the House with builder and carpenter Rose Squire and the Saturday Quiz.

Jon Lamb will also host a Talkback Gardening Extra, broadcasting exclusively for market goers from 11am to midday, providing live, helpful advice on stage with local experts Dr Harry Harrison from the Rare Fruit Society of SA and native plant enthusiast Linda Niemann.

Back by popular demand, ABC personalities and volunteers will run free tours of the ABC TV and Radio studios from 9am to 11am so everyone can see what’s behind the doors at Collinswood.

Gates to the ABC Collinswood studio car park are at 85 North East Road and open to the public at 8am. Entry is by gold coin donation with the event wrapping up around 1pm. Plenty of food stalls and coffee available on site.

The biannual community market has raised over $200,000 for South Australian charities since its inception over 20 years ago.

All proceeds collected on the day will go to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) to support the great work they do to help the one in six men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
