There’d be few survey regions that measure the size of some European countries, but this Xtra Insights survey of the WA Wheatbelt certainly does so, the first of the region in 3 years.
It is large enough to include two major ABC stations, ABC Great Southern and ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt. ABC Great Southern remained No 1 with little ratings change. Second was SCA’s Triple M Wheatbelt, with good growth in breakfast and evenings. Hit Wheatbelt saw losses for all audiences 10+ and in breakfast to drop behind Triple M to third.
Paul Cook on ABC Great Southern breakfast (pictured) was steady with a 25.6 audience share 10+. Bransen Gibson (pictured below) commenced on ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt breakfast at the start of this year and was down 1.9 to 8.4.
Triple M breakfast was up 1.8 to 17.5. Hit Wheatbelt and triple j took hits to their under 40s and cumulative audiences.
SCA Head of Regional Content, Blair Woodcock, said:
“It is a fantastic win for our entire SCA Wheatbelt team following today’s survey results, with SCA taking out the #1 and #2 commercial stations for the region.
In further good news, HIT WA’s Allan & Carly (pictured below), is the #1 Breakfast show for F25-54, while Triple M Wheatbelt is the #1 commercial station listened to most for P10+ and M25-54. That’s cause for celebrations all around!
Congrats to everyone and thank you for your amazing work.”
