ABC Radio Hobart takes a hit but retains top spot

ABC Radio Hobart has taken out the top spot in the Hobart radio ratings survey for 2017. 

Just edging out 7HO FM, ABC Radio Hobart recorded an overall market share of 18.0%, a loss of 2.8 percentage points, while 7HO recorded 17.7 for a gain of 1.4 points to become Hobart’s top-rating commercial station. 
 
ABC Hobart notched up gains of 1.7 points in the 18-24 bracket, with a decline of 9.3 among the 55-64 listeners. The station retains the lead in the Breakfast slot, and the ABC reigns in the Evenings, with ABC Hobart taking a 29.4% share for a 16.4 point lead over Radio National on 11.9. 

Triple M Hobart recorded the biggest overall gain of 3.0% across all demographics for an overall share of 16.9, with HIT100.9 Hobart not far behind on 16.7. 

The Hobart survey was conducted by Xtra Insights from 18 September to 7 October 2017.
