Update on missing employee

Earlier today, ABC’s Local Radio content manager Cath Hurley called a press conference in response to Jill Meagher’s disapearance and described Jill as a “highly valued and much loved member of the local radio team.

“On behalf of ABC Local Radio, friends and colleagues are saddened and concerned by the news of Jill’s disappearance,” said Ms Hurley.

“Our thoughts are with Jill’s family and friends during this very difficult time.”

“There was nothing to indicate that it wasn’t a normal day at work for Jill.”

“It’s been a really difficult time for us because Jill is part of our ABC family and she’s a very highly valued member, she’s a great admin professional and we rely on her every day.

“I’ve been really proud of the way the team has remained focused and has dealt with the story and covered it as well,” says Ms Hurley.
