ABC Talk Network Head Heads Off

The Director of ABC Radio Sue Howard has announced a change to the Radio Executive team following the resignation of one of the group.

Mark Collier, Head of ABC Talk Networks with responsibility for the operations of ABC Radio National, ABC Rural and ABC NewsRadio, has resigned in order to spend more time with his overseas-based partner and to pursue other work ventures.

As a result of Collier’s impending departure, Sue Howard has appointed Kate Dundas to the expanded role of Head, National Networks. This will extend her current role of Head of Music Networks with responsibility for Triple J and ABC Classic FM, to include the talk networks in her brief.

Ms Howard told Radioinfo, “Mark’s contribution to ABC Radio and in particular, to the National Networks, has been immense. I will miss his energy, commitment and passion for radio enormously and wish him the very best in his new endeavours. I know Kate, with her extraordinary capabilities, will build on the networks’ successes and will bring her own style and direction to the new role.”

Mark Collier will conclude his role at ABC Radio on Friday 16 December 2005 from which date Kate Dundas will assume the role of Head, National Networks.
