ABC’s Saturday Night Country goes national

The ABC’s long running Saturday Night Country program, hosted by Beccy Cole, will broadcast nationally in 2024, from February 3.
The program was previously heard from 10pm – 1am on ABC Country, regional ABC local stations, online and across ABC Listen. Now the first hour of Cole’s three hour show will simulcast live nationally on ABC local radio capital cities.
The timing will vary depending on which state or territory you are in:
9pm ABC Radio, ABC Radio Sydney, ABC Radio Melbourne, ABC Radio Canberra
8pm on ABC Brisbane
8.30pm on ABC Adelaide
7.30pm on ABC Darwin
6pm on ABC Perth

Saturday Night Country celebrated 30 years on air in 2023 with 2024 already seeing wins for the genre on radio. Nine Radio’s Ray Hadley was honoured for his long standing support and promotion of Australian country music with a Country Music Capital Award at the recent 52nd Golden Guitar Awards. Hadley’s national program Country Music Countdown (up to its 533rd episode) plays on 2GB and other Nine Radio stations after Cole’s in the capital cities from 10pm – 12midnight.

Cole (a country music star herself) plays the best in Australian and international country music, the classic tunes you grew up with, new releases, and interviews with country music’s present and future.
