Saturday Night Country celebrated 30 years on air in 2023 with 2024 already seeing wins for the genre on radio. Nine Radio’s Ray Hadley was honoured for his long standing support and promotion of Australian country music with a Country Music Capital Award at the recent 52nd Golden Guitar Awards. Hadley’s national program Country Music Countdown (up to its 533rd episode) plays on 2GB and other Nine Radio stations after Cole’s in the capital cities from 10pm – 12midnight.
