Multiple Golden Guitar and ARIA award winner, Beccy Cole will present Saturday Night Country on ABC Radio.

Beccy will step behind the mic of the popular ABC Radio show when it returns for its 2021 season on Saturday 13 February.

Beccy said “As with the two previous hosts, I share an absolute passion for our genre as well as great enthusiasm for sharing new music from Aussie artists old and new.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be the new host of Saturday Night Country on the ABC and to join the great team behind the show. I can’t wait to keep you company and keep you up-to-date with the latest news of the country music world.”

Beccy paid tribute to the show’s previous host, Felicity Urquhart, who ended a 10-year run with the program last year, “Felicity has left incredible country boots to fill, her level of warmth and dedication to entertaining the listening audience will be a hard act to follow but I’m ready to jump in and take on the role.”

Director of ABC Regional & Local, Judith Whelan said ABC Radio was thrilled to have such a big name to present its weekly country music show. “Beccy is not only a hugely talented musician and entertainer, she is also someone who brings her wit and warmth to her performances and she is loved by her audiences for that.  I’m sure she’ll bring our country music audiences on ABC Radio and ABC Country much joy on Saturday Night Country.”
