It is a tradition at the ACRAs to allow only a handful of the major winners to make speeches.

Afterall, giving radio people access to a microphone would certainly result in the awards lasting into the small hours of the next morning.

That’s why, many years ago, radioinfo introduced a feature where we captured the sentiments of many more awards recipients as they come off stage, just after being handed their  awards and shuffled off stage. The playlist of their comments is below.
