2Day’s Jackie O has told New Idea she had a horrible year in 2009 and that she was tempted to “walk away” from radio and start a family.

The article quotes Jackie saying 2010 may be the year she and husband Lee Henderson begin a family:

“I’m always asked if I want children and I always say ‘yes’ so people must think we’ve been trying for 10 years now and it’s not like that… 2010 is definitely the year!

“The past six months have been a real test but they’ve made us re-prioritise our lives and realise we’re now happy to settle down and start a family.”

Those comments may not mean Jackie plans to leave radio altogether. Lots of radio women have successfully had babies and remained on air, in fact it has usually helped their ratings.

Commenting on the lie detector incident, she told the magazine:

“You would have to be an ice queen not to cry about everything that happened, but you can only cry so much before you pick yourself up and say: ‘OK, what can I learn from this?’

A lot of the criticism was warranted… The rape incident completely shocked us and broke our hearts; we would never, ever want something like that to go to air.”
