A popular Valentine’s Day promotion among radio stations is the renewal of wedding vows. And why not? It brings out the best in people and tears of joy from participants and on-lookers alike.

Donna Lynch,The PR Officer at Brisbane’s 882 4BH was the first to send us photos of the wedding vows ceremony the station hosted this morning for 60 couples at the State Library of Queensland.

Listeners turned up, some married 64 years, others celebrating their first year and others being surprised by their other halves. Friends and family joined in a very emotional ceremony with 4BH Breakfast announcer Moyd Kay and his wife Jan also renewing their vows.

One lucky couple, Patricia and Harvey White of Redcliffe won a second honeymoon; a 7 day P&O Cruise through the South Pacific.

Today’s occasion also coincided with the official opening of the Travelling For Love Exhibition at the State Library of Queensland.
