Al and Ad trade up and up and up

91.9 Star FM Bedigo’s  Al and AD had a dream – to see how far a McDonalds dinner box could get them in trades.

On the first day they traded the dinner box voucher for a couple of stubbie holders. On day two the stubbie holders became a signed poster and a couple of toy cars. Throughout the week a washing machine, flying V guitar and even a porcelain cow came through the Bendigo Media Centre doors as part of the swaps. After two weeks they ended up with a very smoky 1993 Mitsubishi Magna which is now a permanent fixture at the Zone Bendigo’s paintball field as a paint covered target.

That was a few years ago. But now Al and Ad are back for another shot at the ultimate swap. Curious to see if it would work just as well in 2014, the boys started it up again this time around with a $25 dinner voucher to a local pub…and it got truly entertaining from there…

The boys say they’re still debating on whether to keep going until they get a secret island or something equally as amazing. They said, “When we finally do stop, we’ll either donate what we get to a local charity or sell it and pass on the funds to a couple of local causes. At the moment we’re not sure which charity could do with the amazing workhorse that is the column shift Toyota…”
