All things AFL and NRL covered on ABC listen in 2026

The ABC is bringing audiences every moment of the 2026 AFL and NRL seasons, live, on ABC listen. Led by the expert commentary team at ABC Sport, alongside in-depth pre-game previews and comprehensive post-match analysis, audiences will be across every goal, try, mark and tackle.

The 2026 AFL season began Thursday March 5, live from the SCG with the Sydney Swans taking on Carlton. The ABC commentary line-up features Corbin Middlemas, Clint Wheeldon, Quentin Hull, Ben Cameron, Matt Clinch, Brett Sprigg, Aaron Bryans, Mitch Turner, Lauren Bordin, Kelli Underwood and Chris Rowbottom.

AFL Saturday returns with Corbin, Mick Malthouse and Luke Ball at midday before a full slate of matches across the day. Sundays there’s wall-to-wall AFL coverage, commentary, analysis and post-game breakdowns unpacking every moment. AFL Sunday also returns at midday with Matt Clinch and Cameron Ling, before the Footy Forum takes over at 1pm with Clint Wheeldon, Jake Niall and Glen Quartermain.

Corbin and Ben Cameron also present the ABC AFL Daily podcast and AFL Monday at 6:30pm on 774 ABC Melbourne, with the final 30 minutes broadcasting across ABC Victoria. Audiences can stream live on ABC listen, Sport DAB+ or catch up via the AFL Daily podcast feed.

The NRL coverage continues this weekend after the Vegas round. Leading the ABC call is broadcaster Andrew Moore, with commentators Quentin Hull, Brett Sprigg, Glen Lauder, Luke Lewis, John Gibbs, Matthew Elliott, Ruan Sims, Kiana Takairangi, Michael Carayannis, Karina Brown, Dene Halatau, Ryan Hoffman, Billy Moore, Alan Tongue, Grant Bell, Clinton Schifcofske and Connor Watson. Scott Sorensen also joins ABC in 2026, offering rare inside-the-rooms perspective.

The conversation continues with NRL Monday with Andrew Moore, airing at 6:30pm across 702 ABC Sydney, 612 ABC Brisbane and 666 ABC Canberra, with the final 30 minutes broadcasting across ABC NSW and ABC Queensland. Audiences can stream live on ABC listen or catch up via the NRL Daily podcast.
