Another surprise announcement this morning as the Illawarra’s Wave FM 96.5 breakfast duo of Jade Tonta and Damien Leith announced that they are finishing up next Tuesday December 10.

The pair said the reasons came down to family and contract discussions, with them deciding not to renew for next year. They also said it was not the end for Jade and Damien with “other projects in the works.” 

Jade has been involved with Wave FM and on breakfast for 18 years, taking a break in 2016 to look after her daughter Lulu. Damien has spent four years with Jade on breakfast and before that two with Power FM in Muswellbrook. The pair had an exceptional final survey together, up more than 5% and with the station having the biggest audience they’d ever recorded.

Still in Wollongong, the No 1 station i98 FM will farewell morning presenter Cam Hilder and the Breakfast team of Marty, Christian, and Bella are about to head on their Christmas break. Back to see you through the summer is Bianca Dye.

Bianca recently co-hosted Winter Breakfast alongside Maje Saba.

Summer Breakfast with Bianca Dye will be on i98FM from 7:00am to 10:00am each weekday morning from Monday December 23rd, 2024, to Friday, January 10th, 2025.
