101.9’s The Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick have spent a wild night breaking another world record for visiting the most pubs in 24 hours. Fifi Box was selected of the trio to attempt the record, as an individual, and nearly gave up a couple of times during the process.
It wasn’t just Fifi who was doubtful. Her best mate Carrie Bickmore told her:
“I know I’m meant to be supportive but be realistic babes… this is not for you.”
Starting at 9am, at around 8 pm she nearly gave up:
“I think I’m done. I really mean it this time.”
But a visit from Dave Hughes, an early morning Melbourne kebab and some dubious karaoke from Fifi and Fev singing Lady Gaga’s Shallow, Fifi not only did it but made it back into work too.
Last year the team earned the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD® for Longest marathon for a radio music show DJ (team) on air.
This time Fifi had to get to and inside 121 pubs in a day. To do so means one every 15 mins, roughly. She pulled an all-nighter and needed to make it to Clocks on Flinders at 9am this morning (Friday June 14) to achieve the record.
Fifi, Fev and Nick have been promoting themselves as Melbourne’s biggest party, This was taking things to the next level!
