The application deadline has passed for new community radio broadcasting licences for Roxby Downs in South Australia and Swan Hill in Victoria.

Acting ABA chief, Lyn Maddock, says the Authority’s planning process has identified a demand for a new community service operated by people living in the respective regions.

“General information is available on the ABA website (see link below), or by calling 1 800 226 667 or (02) 9334 7700.

“From Friday (6 August), copies of all applications can be examined on the ABA website and in the Roxby Downs and Swan Hill public libraries.

“The ABA welcomes written submissions from the public, in response to the applications received. These should be lodged with the ABA by 5pm on Friday 20 August. Submissions can also be emailed ([email protected]).”
