ARN is extending its KIIS brand with KIIS Dance, a digital station dedicated to electronic dance music.
The new station will be heard on DAB+ in Melbourne and the Gold Coast and onthe iHeart app. KIIS Dance content will also extend across the national KIIS FM network, taking over Friday and Saturday nights with dedicated dance programming.
The move comes as electronic music surges in popularity, now the fastest-growing genre among Australian listeners aged 18–34.
KIIS Dance will deliver “a curated mix of current dance hits, iconic club anthems, and era-defining throwbacks.”
Designed for listeners on the move – whether in the car, at work, or getting ready for a night out – KIIS Dance will deliver a nonstop stream of high-energy tracks.
While the focus is on fresh releases, the station also celebrates the genre’s heritage with ‘Retro Dance,’ a daily midday hour dedicated to classic dance anthems.
The weekly lineup showcases some of the biggest names in dance, including global icons like VASSY, Timmy Trumpet and Tiësto, alongside a rotating roster of guest mixes from emerging and established artists.
KIIS Dance has launched today with a huge lineup featuring a 60-minute guest mix from Joel Corry at 9am, followed by DJ Triple XL and Cyril throughout the morning.
In evenings, from 9pm, Australia’s number one DJ Timmy Trumpet takes over with his Sinphony Radio show, before Ultra Music Festival Radio hits at 10pm, delivering sets and mashups from the world’s biggest electronic music festival.
ARN’s Chief Audience & Content Officer Lauren Joyce describes KIIS Dance as a “high-energy, highly targeted station built to match how audiences are engaging with audio – digitally, on-demand, and by genre.”
“Dance music is having a huge cultural moment, and KIIS Dance puts ARN at the heart of it. This is all about giving audiences more of what they love, while broadening our network footprint in a smart, future-facing way.”
