Technorama will offer participants topical discussions and practical sessions showcasing some of the latest broadcasting equipment and techniques.”

With an unprecedented array of technological solutions becoming available, stations face critical choices in meeting their future needs. This has implications for station budgets, training, volunteer and management acceptance, as well as the complex integration of audio, RF, IT and project planning skills.

Technorama’s aim is to assist members of community stations in understanding how to combat these choices.

The last conferences brought technical, management and non-technical delegates together in an affordable and collaborative setting to solve problems.

The keynote speaker for the event is Des DeCean, a founding member of Austereo in 1980 who went on to build DM and Digital studios across Australia and overseas.

DeCean played a key role in the development of the DAV+ standard, and the introduction of DAB+ radio to Australia. In 2009, he was inducted into the Commercial Radio Australia Hall of Fame.
