Sports Entertainment Network have welcomed some of Queensland’s leading sports presenters ahead of the launch of 693 SENQ, headlined by Channel 7 Senior Sports Reporter Ben Davis (pictured) and talented broadcaster Alissa Smith.
Davis will jump in the hosting chair with Mornings with Ben Davis each Monday from 9am – 12pm, wrapping up Queensland’s weekend sporting results and news.
Alissa, formerly from Fox Sports News, will join Davis each Monday as co-host and producer for additional programs from the 693 SENQ studios in Brisbane (Fortitude Valley) and the Gold Coast (Varsity Lakes).
Smith and Davis join an already star-studded line-up that includes Cameron Smith, Pat Welsh, Ian Healy, Katie Brown, Gary Belcher, Luke Hodge and Scott Sattler.
SEN Group Commercial Director Brad Johnson says the focus on Queensland talent is a win for both listeners and partners alike. “With such an impressive on-air team, we will hit the ground running with locally produced content for sports-loving Queenslanders. The commercial uptake so far has been fantastic, and all our talent are committed to working with our valued partners.”
SEN’s Queensland Content Manager, Jason Matthews, says he looked forward to providing Queenslanders with content specific to them. “Whether it’s the chant of “Queenslander” at Suncorp Stadium or the walk to the GABBA for the first day of the test match in summer, Queenslanders just love their sport.
“With the line-up we have put together, we will bring listeners the very best live coverage of sport with the latest news, views and opinions from some of Queensland’s greatest sports stars.”
