Austereo Adelaide manager resigns

Austereo Adelaide General Manager Peter Maynard has resigned to return with his family to Melbourne.

Austereo Chief Executive Michael Anderson has told radioinfo that under Peter Maynard’s leadership, Austereo’s flagship Adelaide
station SAFM has risen from the number three FM station to the market leader.

“Peter has been pivotal in turning around Adelaide and we are very sorry to lose him from the role… Under his leadership, the Adelaide business has shown fantastic growth. Both stations have significantly improved in ratings, revenue and profit.

“He has made a very difficult decision to move back to Melbourne for family reasons.
We will sorely miss his extensive experience and passion, as well as his friendship.”

Maynard joined Austereo in 1990 as SAFM’s direct sales manager and has been
Adelaide General Manager since early 2007.

Peter Maynard says: “I’ve loved being back in Adelaide, having spent more than 20 years here with football and my professional career, but I have made a family and career decision to move back to Melbourne. I have worked with a tremendous team here in Adelaide and I am confident the hard work of the past three years will ensure the continued growth and performance of SAFM
and Triple M.”
