Mike Summers has joined Radio Computing Services of Australia in the role of
Master Control™ and Selector® Support. RCS is the world’s leading provider of broadcast
software.
Summers brings a wealth of experience to RCS Australia, with 21 years of commercial radio experience
as program director, announcer, promotions manager and music director. He has worked at many
radio stations around the country including Radio 2LF, Young; Radio 2GF, Grafton; Radio 2KO,
Newcastle; Radio 2NX, Newcastle; Radio 2CA/FM104.7, Canberra; Radio 2 Double O,
Wollongong; Power FM, Nowra; and Sea FM, Gosford.
Mike Summers was most recently Group Internet
Radio Director for the Austereo Network, where he was responsible for building and programming
12 on-line radio stations for the Austereo portal.
RCS Australia’s Managing Director Keith Williams has told radioinfo:

hardware and software. His broad-based knowledge will enhance our ability to provide specialised
support in all these areas for our clients. He will be offering Selector support for all music directors
and program directors around the country along with technical advice, installation and training for
Master Control, the RCS on air digital play out system.”
Summers, who was responsible for all Austereo’s on-line development and activities,
including technical infrastructure and front-end design and development, competitions, research and
data basing, says he has been into I.T. since he was about 14. “What I love about this job is that it
combines both IT and radio – my two great passions!”
The RCS range of broadcast software also includes Airwaves, the multi-station traffic and invoicing
system; and web services such as Musicpoint, the digital music delivery service to radio; and
Aircheck, same day broadcast monitoring.
