The 32nd annual London International Award winners have been announced.
This year, Australia brought home 70 of the coveted LIA statues – 23 Gold, 23 Silver and 24 Bronze.
In total 820 LIA statues, in addition to finalists, were awarded from 40 countries with Australia ranking #3. The top countries were United States (209), United Kingdom (95), Australia (70), Germany (66) and Japan (59).
The Studio from SCA Perth, took out two Silver awards in the Radio & Audio category for:
- Script Writing for The Water Corporation titled “Longest Ad For Shorter Showers”
- Conceived & Produced by Station for Complete DJ titled “Scratch Master Craig”
Specialist radio creative agency Eardrum won a batch of golds and silvers
- Gold – Radio & Audio – Campaign for Visa Prepaid Gift Card titled “Perfume”, “Teddy”, “Flowers”
- Gold – Radio & Audio – Direction for KFC Firecracker Chicken titled “KFC Tabasco”
- Gold – Radio & Audio – Retail for KFC Firecracker Chicken titled “KFC Tabasco”
- Silver – Radio & Audio – Direction for Visa Prepaid Gift Card titled “Flowers”
- Bronze – Radio & Audio – Direction for Visa Prepaid Gift Card titled “Perfume”
- Bronze – Radio & Audio – Direction for Visa Prepaid Gift Card titled “Teddy”
- Bronze – Radio & Audio – Original Music for KFC titled “Wicked Wings”
As reported earlier here on radioinfo, The Studio was one of only two Perth creative agencies to be shortlisted in the Radio category this year, having previously won Bronze Statues at LIA in 2016 and 2015.
Digital, advertising and production agencies from around the country, including Airbag, McCann, Plaza Films in Sydney and Clemenger BBDO also took out numerous awards.
