Mix101.1 is giving Melbourne couples the chance to take part in one of the most unique radio challenges in Australia. Mix101.1’s Chrissie & Jane will hand over a $5000 Baby Bonus to the first of five couples to conceive a child.

The government announced in the budget that it will be stripping couples of their baby bonus cash in March 2014. The financial stress of having a baby is already a concern for many young families and this decision will leave many reconsidering their options when deciding to bring children into the world.
 
Chrissie & Jane, mothers themselves, understand the financial struggles that come with growing family.

The five couples were live in the Mix101.1 studio this morning where the females had a blood test to ensure they were not already pregnant. Everyone will receive their results on Monday morning, and from there the race begins.

The first couple to conceive will take home Chrissie and Jane’s $5000 Baby Bonus.
