This afternoon on The KIIS Network’s Will & Woody, co-host Woody Whitelaw announced that Mimi, his partner, gave birth to their second daughter, Murphy, 24 hours after he bolted from the studio while on air after receiving a message from Mimi thinking she was in labour.
Woody shared the full birth story and also broke into tears when sharing that a highlight was his first daughter Remi meeting Murphy for the first time which you can watch below.
Woody said:
“It’s a girl. So, we’ve had our second little girl. I’ve got just a three of the most wonderful, lovely women at home now, which is extraordinary. Her name is Murphy.
“So this was four hours after the birth, we were really keen on Remi getting to meet Murphy as soon as possible. Just because you know, she’s part of it, she’s part of the family, and we were both just so excited about that moment to bring Remi in.
Remi, she’s three years old. She’s very aware of the fact that the baby was in the tummy and a baby was coming. And when we Facetimed her straight after the birth, she was like, the baby’s here, and, she ran around in the circle and said, my baby’s here, which is really nice. So she danced around, and she was with Mim’s mum at that stage, and she tried on four different outfits before because she wanted to get the right outfit and then she came in.”
Mate, you wait until you experience it…Because you have your first child and you just can’t imagine loving something so much. And then you have a second child and again that love floods you again, and then you see these two things that you love more than anything, loving each other.”
