Back to work radio staff keep listeners in the holiday spirit

As Australians get back to work this week, radio stations are trying to keep the holiday season alive for as long as possible with Summer promotions. Of course, to bring these promotions to holidaying listeners, most radio station staff are now about to get back to work.

In Geelong, K-Rock is holding a Beach Shack promotion with a surf pro tournament and live bands at local beaches for the next two weeks.

Melbourne sports stations are preparing to cover the Australian Open tennis tournament, while cricket continues on ABC Local Radio.

And next week, Country Music stations will be converging on Tamworth for the Tamworth Country Music Festival, with detailed coverage on John Nutting’s Saturday Night Country show on ABC Radio, and Nick Erby’s Country Music Radio programs on the Super Radio Network.

Sydney’s 2GB is preparing for an Australia Day Outside Broadcast all day on Saturday 26th January 2008 at Queens Square.

Next Monday will see the return of most capital city presenters, who will be on air for the first ratings week of the year.
