Two 3BA and Power FM Ballarat staff members face court today for alleged breaches of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, following complaints by former staff.

Although he would not be drawn into commenting as to which individuals might allegedly be involved, a spokesman for parent company, Grant Broadcasters, provided radioinfo, with the following written statement:

“Radio Ballarat has acknowledged that the company is heading to the courts after charges were brought against it by Victorian Workcover. The charges relate to an alleged incident and subsequent investigation in October of last year.

“The company was subject to a number of compliance notices from Vic Workcover. The company has complied with all notices and is confident that it has, and will continue to, meet its obligations in ensuring a safe working environment exists for all staff”.
