Berner to host AFI Awards

Co-presenter of Triple M’s The Cage breakfast show, Peter Berner, will host the 46th annual AFI awards.

He will front the Australian film industry awards on 29 October at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.

Berner says: ”I’m delighted to be hosting the awards and looking forward to a fantastic night.”

AFI chief, Felicity Cockram, says: “Berner is a top operator and will bring a new dimension to the role with his wonderful quick witted and adaptable style of entertainment. We are absolutely delighted Peter has come on board to host Australian film’s night of nights.”

Kate Ceberano and Paul Kelly will also be part of the big night.

Highlights will be telecast by the ABC on 31 October in the special program, ‘Margaret and David at the AFI Awards’, and on Foxtel’s Ovation channel on 1 and 6 November.
