Blake Williams represented mix94.5 at this year’s West Australian Music Awards (WAM) held in Fremantle on Saturday night.
 
Williams, host of mix94.5’s The Scene presented the 2014 WAM Folk Song of the Year award to Winter’s Mile, a collaboration between Perth musicians Morgan Bain and Toby. 
 
He said it was an honour to be a part of the event.
 
“For mix94.5 to be represented at the WAM awards marks a big step forward in our collaboration with WAM and the Perth music scene,”
 
“We have the same goal –  to find local acts new fans!
 
“Both Morgan Bain and Toby have been staples within the industry for years and it’s great to see them getting the song writing recognition they deserve.”
 
The winner of the 2014 WAM Song of the Year went to Perth alternative pop-artist, Kučka for their song, Unconditional.
