Boom Radio inspires career seekers

Boom Radio entertained thousands of career seekers at this year’s SkillsWest Expo. The station, part of Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Advanced Diploma in Radio course, broadcast live throughout the weekend, and featured a wide variety of guests including My Kitchen Rules stars and SkillsWest ambassadors Eva Lean and Debra Ch’ng.

The station spent the whole three days at the expo, interviewing students and employers alike, providing an authentic look inside the business of radio and the multitudes of benefits it can offer.

Course Coordinator Philip Vinciullo says “A number of our past and current students found our radio course through previous SkillsWest expos, so it’s an exciting opportunity to potentially reach fresh Western Australian talent. The team put some  hard work into this broadcast, and I feel we can truly be proud of the result.”

Skills West Expo is the leading annual Western Australian event, inspiring visitors to explore job opportunities, study options and plan new career pathways.

Boom Radio are currently preparing for a week long outside broadcast at the Perth Royal Show in September. The station will also soon be launching a new Boom Radio app, which will be available through both Android and IOS.
