Bunbury local to present Afternoons for ABC South West

Meghan Woods will present the Mornings program on ABC South West from Bunbury for 2015.

No stranger to radio, Meghan most recently produced the WA Regional Drive program with Barry Nichols.

Meghan started her radio career working at the ABC studios in Perth as a promotions and technical producer.  After gaining experience producing 720 Perth programs such as Drive with Russell Woolf and Breakfast with Eoin Cameron, Meghan returned to Bunbury in 2008 to produce the local morning program.

During her time in Bunbury Meghan has presented local Mornings, Breakfast and Saturday Breakfast.  She also presents a national digital program called The Health Club.

Meghan says,  “As a South West local I’m keen to talk about issues affecting the region, hear from the wide and diverse range of people here in the South West, and provide a forum for other locals to have their say – either by talkback or on social media.

“I’m looking forward to getting out and about in the South West community, meeting more people, listening to their stories and making sure local voices are heard.  I’m sure we’ll be having lots of fun along the way.

“It’s a really exciting year for me, apart from starting on South West mornings I’m also building my first house. Luckily on the show this year we have a panel of gardening experts – so that will help with all the landscaping questions I have!”

You’ll hear Meghan on South West Mornings from 10am-12pm weekdays.  When she’s not in the studios, Meghan says you’ll find her watching live music at the local pubs, “I play the guitar and try to be artistic. At one stage I worked for a live sound company in London with some incredible bands and musicians. I also love eating out at local restaurants and going for a dip at the beach in Bunbury.”
