Bush Introduces world’s first Set Top Box with Integrated DAB+ Tuner

Receiver manufacturer Bush has released another world first digital radio product, a Digital TV Set Top Box which includes an integrated digital radio (DAB+) tuner. The High Definition Digital Set Top Box provides customers with their first completely digital home entertainment solution.

In the UK much digital radio ‘listening’ is done through television sets, so the entension of listening to the tv and integrated 5.1 hi-fi systems in this country should extend the reach of digital radio to more consumers in a similar way.

The Bush DFTA52DAB High Definition Set Top Box allows customers to upgrade to receive all high definition digital TV channels and all new digital radio stations in one product. Features incoude: HDMI Output, Component & Composite Video Output, Digital Audio via S/PDIF Output, DAB+ OSD Scrolling Text Information and VGA Output to connect straight to your PC Monitor.
Bush “continues to innovate the market, creating products that are not only exciting and easy to use but that offer customers major benefits at affordable prices.”

The Bush DFTA52DAB will be priced at just $249.

Digital Radio and TV are continuing to gather momentum with potentially more scheduled DAB+ areas switching on, trails have begun in Canberra this month and more analogue TV signals are being switched off with Regional SA set to switch off next, on December 15th, so Bush believes the product has come to market at the right time.
